How did Dana Tutoring came about?

The concept and practice of Dana is not new.  It has been in existence since the time of the Buddha.  However it is rarely been used in non-religious services.  I first head about suggestions for dana-based services from Ajahn Dhammarato in North Carolina. I toyed around with the idea but never implement it. On 10/28/08 I went to Rev Heng Sure's Dharma gathering at Teance in Berkeley. One of the audience mentioned that she is receiving dana-based life coaching.  We discussed the practice a little bit.  That gave me the inspirations for Dana Tutoring.  Rev Heng sure also mentioned Charityfocus.org, which leads to CFsites.org that provides me instant tools to create this website.
